Many of you that are familiar with the romance genre have stuck to one style, but with this exciting interview I've found an author that gives you a reason to delve into the sexy world of science fiction romance that will keep you fanning yourself!
Her romances cover everything from historical to paranormal to young adult and entice readers with colorful, engaging covers and books that draw you into the characters and worlds she creates. I've taken the time to sit down for an interview with her and delve into the secrets of her brain that create her exciting novels as well as find out a bit more about her newest book, Blue Vision that is coming November 15th, 2016.
Let's get down to business!
Marie you've been writing a long time it seems. How did you get into writing?
That’s a complicated question. I guess it seems like I was always writing a story. Even before I could write, stories were playing out in my head. By about eight or nine years old, it felt natural to put pen to paper, and get the stories out of my head and onto the page. I adored literature. The written word was fascinating to me. I perused libraries with the zest of an explorer. It was then that I knew this was what I wanted to do as a career, to one day see my name on a book on a shelf in a library or store. But it wasn’t the fame I sought at all; as I continued to pursue the craft, the characters led me, their voices a path I had to follow.
Sounds like you have a lot going on! Do you have a day job as well?
So when you do finally have free time (sounds like you are swamped a lot!) what's your flavor in terms of reading? What is on your Kindle right now?
A ton of books! I don’t often read on my Kindle app on my tablet. But the ones in the top list are New England Nights by Linda Lee Williams, Origins by Eric Drouant, Errant Spark by Ronelle Antoinette, Bluegrass Seduction by Alice Ward & Jessica Blake, Happily Evan After by Michelle Irwin, and The Noru by Lora StVil.
Sounds like you are into a ton of different genres and it shows in your writing style! So you have a new book coming out, what is that about?
I do! And I can. I’m so excited about this! Blue Vision, my first science fiction romance, will be released in November. To avoid giving too much of it away, the story follows the journey of Brooke Sanders as she encounters a mysterious stranger in the winter of Montana, as well as their undeniable connection.

Is there anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
For the most part, it’s fictional, all from the abyss of craziness in my head. But, in a sense, it’s also my dedication to those of us who feel a bit “alien” compared to the rest of the world.
So you seem to have been writing for awhile and I'm sure you've seen it all in terms of reviews, what has been the toughest criticism you have been given about your books? What is the best compliment?
The toughest comment I ever had was probably from a potential publisher when I submitted a manuscript. They wanted me to change the entire book in order to accept it. In the end, I decided to go with my vision instead. My heart and instincts were guiding me in the right direction. And it paid off. As for a good compliment, one in particular I received was from an Amazon review back in March for Second Nature, a paranormal romance which was published in 2015. The reader said, “the author of this book knows how to create characters that draw you into their emotions.” Such kind words really.
It is always our hope as writers, I think, that we make some kind of impact with our work. And I don’t mean lots of sales, though that certainly doesn’t hurt. LOL. No, we want to reach people, to make them think and feel. As long as I’m telling my characters’ stories the best way I know how, and now and then I see a compliment like that, I’m a happy camper.
Well thank you so much for meeting with me today to discuss your process and books to date. I look forward to delving into your new book coming out on November 15th!

Brooke Sanders just wants to get away from her life for awhile. A remote cabin in Montana fits the bill. She doesn’t expect to encounter a mysterious stranger with unusual blue eyes, or events that cannot be explained…
Colin Fielding is on a mission – scout a planet and return home to Endhivar. Simple really. What he doesn’t anticipate is that fate has a pretty twisted sense of humor. Suddenly, this human calls to him, every part of him, like the call of a true mate, and he can’t deny the connection as he gets closer to her.
Little do they know, someone is out to do them harm, as well as the world Brooke holds so dear. Can they stop what’s coming before it’s too late? Or will the universe lose a perfect gem?
Release Date: November 15, 2016 at booksellers (Amazon, Solstice Publishing, Barnes & Noble, CreateSpace)
